Learn how to use the Admin Console to migrate from Device Licensing to Shared Device Licensing.

Introduction

Shared Device Licensing is a licensing method that allows multiples end users to use Adobe products and services on shared devices.

The Admin Console lets IT admins seamlessly transition from Device Licensing to Shared Device Licensing. After your users are migrated, they will have access to your purchased Adobe products and services.

Бележка:

Deployed device licenses will stop working in 30 days after migration. Note that the migration is not a reversible process. For this reason, Adobe recommends IT Admins to set up and deploy Shared Device Licenses soon after migration for uninterrupted services.

Redeploy packages

After you complete the process of migrating your Device Licenses to Shared Device Licenses, you need to then redeploy these new licenses to the devices that were in your institution on which device licenses were prevously deployed.

To do this, you need to first create new Shared device license packages and then deploy these new packages to the devices as required.

Go through the following documents for details on the above procedures:

  1. Unistall existing device licenses.
  2. Create Shared device license packages.
  3. Deployig packages.

For a step-by-step guide on how to set up and get started with Shared device licensing, we recommend that you use the Shared device licensing Deployment Guide.
