Adobe Acrobat Premium (mobile-only subscription)

  • Create PDFs
  • Edit and modify PDFs
  • Export PDFs to other formats
  • Combine files
  • Organize pages
  • Compress files
  • Password‑protect PDFs

You can use most of these premium features on mobile. Some features are also available on desktop and web with certain limitations.

Acrobat Reader Plus (mobile‑only subscription)

Acrobat Reader Plus is a mobile‑only subscription that includes the following limited set of premium tools:

  • Edit text in PDFs
  • Edit images in PDFs
  • Create PDFs
  • Optical character recognition (OCR)

This subscription is supported only in Acrobat on mobile and does not include premium features on desktop or web.

Subscription access

Mobile subscriptions are designed primarily for use in the Acrobat mobile app. If you need full access to premium PDF tools across mobile, desktop, and web, Adobe offers full Acrobat subscriptions, such as Acrobat Studio and Acrobat Pro, which are purchased separately. Refer to the Acrobat Plans and Pricing page for details.

Trial and billing

Acrobat Premium may include a free trial, depending on your region and how you purchase the subscription. If you start a 7-day free trial for an annual plan, you'll receive an email reminder before the trial ends. Unless you cancel before the trial period expires, your subscription will automatically renew, and you'll be charged according to the subscription terms.

Subscription upgrades

If you have an existing Acrobat Reader mobile subscription, you can upgrade your subscription, though options and timing may vary depending on how you purchased it (for example, through an app store). If the new plan includes services you already subscribe to, you'll be notified to cancel the overlapping subscriptions to avoid duplicate charges.

  • You can upgrade to a plan that includes services you already subscribe to.
  • During the upgrade, you'll be notified of any overlapping subscriptions and prompted to cancel them.
  • Your new subscription becomes active immediately after the upgrade.
  • If you cancel an overlapping subscription, any applicable refund is processed by the app store.
  • Your subscription renews each month or year automatically until you cancel it.

File storage

Files modified using subscription features are saved based on their storage location:

  • Local files are saved on your device and synced to Adobe cloud storage.
  • Files stored in connected cloud services, such as Dropbox or OneDrive, are saved back to their original location.
