Learn how to manage bookmarks in a PDF using Acrobat on Android.

Use bookmarks to access important pages quickly. You can review your saved bookmarks, rename them for clarity, or remove ones you no longer need.

Note

The bookmark feature is currently available only in Acrobat on Android. The option to bookmark from the table of contents is available for select documents, such as books or longer PDFs. Bookmarks created in Acrobat on desktop are also visible in Acrobat on iOS.

View and use bookmarks

Open the PDF and select More options> Bookmarks & Table of Contents from the menu.

Select the Bookmarks tab and view the list of bookmarked pages in the PDF.

Select the bookmarked page to jump to that page.

Rename a bookmark

Open the PDF and select More options icons-dc-mobile-options.svg> Bookmarks & Table of Contents from the menu.
Alternatively, select More optionsicons-dc-mobile-options.svg> Bookmarks.

In the Bookmarks tab, long-press the bookmark and select Rename.

Select the bookmark name again to access the keypad.

Enter a new name and then select Checkmark from the keypad.

Delete bookmarks

You can remove a bookmark from the current page or delete bookmarks from the list.

To remove a bookmark from the current page, select More options> Remove bookmark from the menu.

To delete multiple bookmarks, open the PDF and select More optionsicons-dc-mobile-options.svg> Bookmarks & Table of Contents from the menu.

In the Bookmarks tab, do one of the following:

  • Long-press the bookmarked page and select Delete from the context menu.
  • Select Delete All to remove all bookmarks.
