Create a structured guide that organizes key concepts, takeaways, study tips, and exercises from the sources in a Student Space.
Note
Student Spaces is available only in Acrobat on Android. It isn't available on iOS.
A study guide helps you review one subject at a useful level of detail without rereading every source from beginning to end. The AI generates the guide from the files, web links, and pasted text contained in the Student Space.

Verify the source material
Confirm that the Student Space contains the source material you want the tool to use.
The tool uses the sources available when it is generated. Later source changes don't update an existing tool.
Create a Study guide
Start in one of the following ways:
- Open a Student Space that contains your source materials, and then choose Study guide.
- Choose Study guide, and then enter a topic and select the level of detail you need.
Create a separate guide for each subject or focused area. Include the relevant course materials to keep the generated content centered on what you need to study.
After generation, open the Study guide from the Student Space where you created it.
Depending on the scope of the source material, choose a narrower topic when prompted.
Start the generation process.
Wait while Student Spaces creates the guide.
When generation is complete, the study guide appears in Study Tools.
Review the Study guide
Open the generated guide from Study Tools.
Start with the introduction to understand what the guide covers. Then use the table of contents to scan the included topics and move directly to the sections you want to review.
Each topic can include:
- An explanation of the concept
- Key takeaways
- Study tips
- Suggested quick exercises
- Citations to supporting source material
Focus your review
Use the content included with each topic to guide your study:
- Topic explanation: Review the concept and its context.
- Key takeaways: Identify the information that matters most.
- Study tips: Understand what to prioritize and how the material may be assessed.
- Suggested quick exercises: Check your understanding while the material is still fresh.
Work through the guide in order or focus on the sections that match your current study needs.
Review citations
Citations connect generated explanations to the supporting sources in the Student Space.
- Select a citation in the study guide.
- Review the extracted source content.
- Open the source when you need the complete passage or surrounding context.
Review the cited content to confirm that the generated explanation accurately represents the source.
Check your understanding
Use the suggested exercises to review the material while it is still fresh.
Based on your results, you can:
- Review the topic again.
- Return to the cited source.
- Open Chat and ask for another explanation.
- Continue to the next topic.
To ask the AI for more information, leave the study guide and select Chat in the top navigation.
