After you purchase and install Photoshop Elements from the Mac App Store, the product is in German instead of English

Change the language priority of your OS.

  1. From the Apple Menu, select System Preferences.

  2. Go to Language & Text.

  3. Drag English above German (Deutsch) in the list of languages.

  4. Restart your computer.

Remove German language support from your OS.

  1. From the Apple Menu, select System Preferences.

  2. Go to Language & Text.

  3. Click the Edit List button.

  4. Remove the checkmark from next to German (Deutsch) on the list. Click OK.

  5. Restart your computer.

Additional information

When you install Photoshop Elements from the Mac App Store, it can be in English, French, German, or Japanese. A setting in the OS System Preferences is passed to Photoshop Elements to determine the language used.
