Re-extract an overridden value in Adobe Acrobat Analyzer

Re-extract an overridden value for a file to revert it back to the extracted value.

Re-extract when you no longer want to use a manual override for a particular file, and you want the attribute value to return to the extracted result.

Before you begin

  • You have access to the collection that contains the file.
  • The file has at least one manually overridden attribute value.

Re-extract the attribute value from the file.

  1. Open the collection that contains the file.

  2. Open the file for review.

  3. Locate the extracted attribute you want to re-extract.

  4. Select the ellipsis next to the attribute value.

  5. Select Re-extract value.

An example file opened with the "Document Attributes" panel exposed, and the "Re-extractvalue" action highlighted.

  6. Confirm the re-extraction.

What happens after you re-extract a value

  • Re-extracting replaces your manually added value with a newly extracted value.
  • The attribute returns to the extracted value.
  • If other attributes on the file still have overrides, they remain overridden until you explicitly re-extract those values.

When to re-extract a value

  • You want to remove a manual correction and return to the extracted value.
  • You corrected the wrong attribute or entered the wrong override value.
  • You updated the extraction settings and want the file’s value to reflect the latest extraction behavior.
