View HIPAA readiness status in Analyzer in Acrobat

Last updated on Sep 10, 2026

Check whether your Analyzer account is linked to an executed HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and enabled for processing protected health information (PHI).

The Linked HIPAA Business Associate Agreement setting shows the HIPAA readiness status for your account. The setting is read-only and is updated by Adobe after the HIPAA readiness process is complete. You can't change it yourself.

View HIPAA readiness status

Go to Settings > General Settings.

Locate Linked HIPAA Business Associate Agreement.

Check whether the setting is selected or unselected.

Understand the status

Status What it means
Unselected

Your account isn't linked to an executed HIPAA BAA for Analyzer. Don't process HIPAA-regulated PHI in Analyzer while this status is unselected.

Selected Your account is linked to an executed HIPAA BAA and HIPAA readiness has been enabled. Your organization may process PHI in Analyzer in accordance with its BAA with Adobe.

Adobe updates the setting after confirming the applicable BAA and completing HIPAA enablement for the account.

If the status is unselected

If your organization needs to process PHI in Analyzer, complete the HIPAA readiness process before using Analyzer for that purpose.

See Enable HIPAA readiness for Analyzer in Acrobat for instructions.

Things to know

  • Linked HIPAA Business Associate Agreement is a status indicator, not a control for requesting or enabling HIPAA readiness.
  • You can't select or clear the setting yourself.
  • An executed BAA must be associated with the account and Adobe must complete HIPAA enablement before the status becomes selected.
  • Wait until Adobe confirms enablement and the status is selected before processing PHI in Analyzer.
