Learn about the languages supported by Adobe Acrobat Export PDF for OCR.

OCR language selection

If your document is in a non-Latin language such as Japanese, Chinese, or Korean, make sure you select the correct language before running OCR. Without this, the OCR engine will not be able to read or convert the text correctly. To set the language, select In this file under Recognize text in the Scan & OCR pane, and then select the appropriate language.
