Learn how to directly share any document with others for viewing.

When you directly share a document, the recipients receive an email containing a link. They can select the link to view the document in a browser without signing in.

  1. On the Acrobat on the web homepage, select Documents.

  2. From the list of Your documents or Recent files, hover over the document that you want to share and then select Invite .

Documents tab shows the list of documents. Hovering over a document name shows Share and other tool icons.
You can also open a document, verify the content, and select the share tool from the main menu.

  3. In the dialog box that opens, add the email addresses of recipients.

Share document dialog shows the field to enter the recipient's name, toggle to Allow comments, and the Get link button.
In the Enter name or email field, start typing the recipient’s information. You can choose to get a link to the document and share it with others.

  4. Ensure that the Allow comments option is turned off.

  5. Select Invite.

Once the document is shared, the recipients get an email notification with a link to open and view the document. The shared document appears in your list of Shared by you documents.
