About presentations in Adobe Acrobat
Learn how the Generate presentation tool in Adobe Acrobat turns your files and PDF Spaces into clear, visually engaging presentations in minutes.
The Generate presentation feature in Adobe Acrobat turns your documents into insightful, ready-to-edit slides so you can grasp and present the key points without having to build them manually. Acrobat breaks down complex information into slides built around your content, so dense material becomes easier to follow and understand. You can review the key points in the slides, refine them, and share the presentation with others.
How the tool works
The Generate presentation tool in Adobe Acrobat uses generative AI to turn your documents into structured, ready-to-edit presentations. From the Read panel, select Presentation or describe the presentation you want in the AI Assistant chat panel. Acrobat then generates a structured presentation with visual styles and layouts, which you can edit and refine. Learn how to generate a presentation.
If you aren't able to access this experience, the new Generate presentation feature is still rolling out and isn't available everywhere. In the meantime, you can still generate presentations with the previous experience.
Copyright compliance for AI features in Acrobat: Creating, uploading, or sharing content that infringes on third-party copyrights is prohibited. If you're unsure whether your content violates copyright, seek legal advice before proceeding. Learn more about content usage and data handling.
Access and availability
- Access points: You can generate a presentation from the Read panel, the tools pane, or in PDF Spaces by describing what you want in the chat panel.
- Languages & regions: Generating presentations on the web is available in English worldwide.
- Availability: Individual and Teams subscribers with Acrobat Studio, AI Assistant, or plans that include Acrobat AI features have access to the Generate presentation feature. The feature is not available to enterprise users. We reserve the right to introduce generative credit consumption for this feature and may update usage limits at any time.
Ways to begin
You can generate a presentation from any of these entry points:
- Read panel: Select Read from the top bar and then select Presentation from the left pane, or describe the presentation you want in the AI Assistant chat panel.
- Tools pane: Select Generate presentation from the left pane.
- PDF Space: Prompt the AI Assistant or select Create+ and then choose Presentation. The tool uses the files in your Space to create the slides.
You can also add your files (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and web links) or generate a presentation from the files already in a PDF Space.
Elements that shape your presentation
You can refine and personalize your generated presentation to make it clearer and tailored to your audience.
- Styles: Choose a visual style for your presentation, or let the AI Assistant suggest one.
- Editing: Select text on a slide to edit it directly, highlight a portion of a slide and select Edit with AI to describe the change you want, or prompt the AI Assistant to make a change. When you edit with AI or the AI Assistant, a new version of your presentation is generated.
- Open in Express: For design changes, select Open in Express to continue editing your presentation in Adobe Express.
