Generate presentations

Last updated on Sep 9, 2026

Learn how to turn your documents into insightful presentations with AI-suggested styles and dynamic layouts.

Before you begin
If you aren't able to access this experience, the new Generate presentation feature is still rolling out and isn't available everywhere. In the meantime, you can still generate presentations with the previous experience.

Choose how you want to begin:

  • From the Read panel: Select Read from the top bar and then select Presentation.
  • From the Tools pane: Select Tools, then select Generate presentation from the left pane.
  • From the AI Assistant: Select AI Assistant from the top bar and type your request to generate a presentation in the chat panel.
  • From a PDF Space: Prompt the AI Assistant, such as Generate a presentation that helps me understand the key findings in the Q3 report, or select Create+, then select Presentation.
When you select Presentations, Acrobat takes key information from your document to create insightful slides.

Note

When you start from the Read panel, Acrobat generates the presentation directly, without asking for intent and style selection. You can continue from the editing step to refine it.

Select from the list of suggested options to clarify your intent or describe the context for the presentation. Then select the suggested style for your presentation.

Select Generate.

To edit your presentation, select Edit. You can then select any text on a slide to edit it directly, or highlight a portion of a slide and select Edit with AI to describe the change you want, and then select Submit. You can also conversationally ask the AI Assistant to edit the presentation.

When you use Edit with AI or ask the AI Assistant to make a change, a new version of your presentation is generated.

To add visual designs and elements, select Open in Express from the top bar of the viewer pane. The presentation opens in Adobe Express for further editing.

Finalize and share your presentation:

  • Select Share to share it using a link.
  • Select Download to export the presentation as a PDF or PPT file.
  • Select Present from the top bar of the viewer panel to start the presentation in full-screen mode.
