Cancel Creative Cloud for teams licenses

Last updated on Aug 3, 2026

Learn how to use the Admin Console to reduce or remove licenses purchased directly from Adobe.

Use this procedure to cancel your entire Creative Cloud for teams plan or remove individual licenses when your subscription was purchased directly from Adobe. If you purchased through a reseller, contact them to manage cancellations. This workflow is available to system admins and contract owners.

Before canceling, consider whether changing your plan better serves your needs. Changing plans preserves your assets and storage while adjusting your license type or features.

What happens when you cancel

Understanding the impact of cancellation helps you prepare your team and minimize disruption.

Storage reduction

Cloud storage for each canceled license reduces to 5GB. Users retain access to their Creative Cloud files on their computer and the Creative Cloud website within this 5GB limit. If users exceed 5GB at cancellation, they have 30 days to move files out of cloud storage. After 30 days, access to some or all files stored on Creative Cloud servers may be removed. Learn how to check storage usage.

Note

Uploading files into Frame.io uses Frame.io cloud storage rather than the cloud storage provided to teams customers.

App and service access

Team members lose access to most Creative Cloud applications and services, including the ability to create or edit files. They transition to the complimentary membership level. Ensure team members save active files locally in a compatible format before cancellation.

Admin Console privileges

Canceling your entire plan removes your ability to manage your team using the Admin Console. Access to expert sessions and dedicated support services also ends.

Cancellation fees and refunds

Depending on your plan and renewal date, a cancellation fee or refund may apply. Review Adobe's subscription terms and refund policies for details.
