Learn how to change your Creative Cloud for teams plan if you are a system admin or contract owner and purchased the plan directly from Adobe.
If you purchased your plan directly from Adobe, you can change some or all of your licenses to another plan at any time, with changes taking effect immediately. Unselected licenses will remain on your current plan, while selected ones will automatically switch to the new plan.
You can't reduce the number of licenses or cancel your plan using the Change Plan workflow. Learn how to cancel licenses.
Update your plan in the Admin Console
Scroll to Plans and licenses and select Manage > Change Plan.
We’re gradually rolling out this feature. If it’s not yet visible for your account, contact Customer Care using the Support tab in the Admin Console to make any necessary plan changes.
Select the licenses you want to change, and then select Change.
Choose Select plan on the plan card you want.
To compare multiple plans, select the checkboxes next to each one, and then select Compare. If you don’t find the desired plans, select the Chat icon to contact Adobe Customer Care.
Review the changes, select Agree and subscribe.
The existing plan for selected licenses is cancelled, and the new plan is effective immediately. System admins and the affected users receive email notifications about the plan change.
Understand the impact of plan changes
Consider these impacts before updating your plan.
- Prorated charges and refunds: You'll receive a prorated refund for unused time on the old plan within 3–5 business days. You'll be charged a prorated fee for the remaining time for the new plan. There's no penalty for changing plans.
- Storage and assets: Your storage space remains unchanged, and assets are not affected. However, if you downgrade your plan, the storage limit may change.
- Renewal date: The renewal date stays the same as your previous plan. For example, if your contract renews on December 10, 2024, and you change the plan on June 14, 2024, the new plan still renews on December 10, 2024, with the rest of the contract.
- Billing plan type: Your billing frequency remains the same when you change plans. If your existing plan is billed monthly, your new plan will be billed monthly as well.
- Promotional pricing: When updating plans for products with promotional pricing, modifying the plan for only some licenses keeps the promo price for unchanged licenses while modified licenses switch to the new plan's displayed price. If you update the plan for all licenses, the promotional price doesn't carry over—the new plan's pricing applies, ending the promotional plan.
