Change the contract owner of your Teams account

Last updated on Aug 3, 2026

Learn how to nominate another admin, identify the current owner, or request the role yourself.

The contract owner is the single administrator who manages payment-related updates for your Creative Cloud for teams account. By default, this role belongs to the admin who originally purchased the subscription. Only one contract owner can exist at a time, and they control billing details, payment methods, and renewal settings. You might need to change the contract owner when the current owner leaves your organization, changes roles, or when you need to identify who holds this responsibility.

Transfer contract owner role to another admin

Sign in to the Admin Console.

Select the Account tab.

Select the Edit icon next to Contract owner. If you have multiple contracts, first select a contract name to view its details.
