A "Not enough memory" warning appears when you copy artwork (Mac OS only)

As you copy artwork, a "Not enough memory" warning message appears. After you click OK, Illustrator crashes.

A conflict with a clipboard utility causes this issue. Clipboard utilities include (but are not limited to) Pastebox, Alfred, Keyboard Maestro, Clip Menu, Copied, and other clipboard apps.

Solution: Quit clipboard utilities

If you plan to to copy artwork as part of your Illustrator workflow:

  1. Quit any clipboard utilities.
  2. Relaunch Illustrator and continue.
