Anniversary Date
The Adobe VIP Marketplace Anniversary Date is an important part of the VIP Marketplace program. The Anniversary Date affects several key factors:
- It serves as the date each year when all licenses must be renewed.
- It determines when all licenses purchased throughout the license term co-terminate.
Note: License terms begin on the day licenses are added and expire the day prior to the Anniversary Date (See Renewals for more information.)
It determines the daily proration date.
It serves as the basis for any proration calculations.
The Anniversary Date is one year (12 months) after the date Adobe accepts the Member’s initial order. If the Member chooses to begin an extended paid-upfront term, the Anniversary Date is selected prior to the Member placing the first order. The Anniversary Date recurs each year on the same calendar date.
For example, if ABC Company’s first order is placed on January 16, 2024, then their first Anniversary Date is January 16, 2025, and their Anniversary Date is January 16 for each year thereafter.
Adobe Acrobat Classic Term Licenses are calculated at 36 months, not 12 months.
Daily proration
Additional licenses may be added at any time after your initial order. The Anniversary Date for your additional licenses will be listed on the order confirmation email and in the Account tab in the Admin Console. Add-on licenses are prorated for the length of time until your next Anniversary Date.
Anniversary Dates and Consumable Products
Consumables, by default, expire at the end of your License Term. However, some Consumables have expiry dates and purchase cycles that may not align with your VIP Marketplace Anniversary Date and current License Term. Please contact your reseller or see the specific Product terms for more information. One example of a Consumable that expires on the last day of your existing License Term is Sign Transactions. One example of a Consumable that does not expire on the last day of your existing License Term is Stock Credit Packs.
If a Member has an Extended paid-up-front subscription, then you have a separate Adobe Acrobat Sign Transactions Reset Date. Your Sign Transactions Reset Date is 12 months from when you place your first Sign Transactions order, and every 12 months thereafter or your Anniversary Date, whichever comes first. Any Sign Transactions will expire on your next Sign Transactions Reset Date and renew for your next Sign Transactions Reset Date until your extended term paid upfront subscription expires. Any subsequent Sign Transactions order will have the same Sign Transactions Reset Date and the same refresh cadence.
For example, if you order 5,000 Transactions on May 15, 2024, and your Anniversary Date is February 1, 2027. If you purchase 5,000 Sign Transactions on May 15, 2024, then you have 5,000 Sign Transactions that expire on May 15, 2025; 5,000 new Sign Transactions that expire on May 15, 2026; and 5,000 Transactions that expire on February 1, 2027. If your organization orders 2,000 more transactions on June 1, 2025, then the first additional 2,000 transactions expire on May 15, 2,026, and your next 2,000 transactions expire on February 1, 2027.
