Update Acrobat for uninterrupted AI Assistant access

Last updated on Mar 25, 2026

By May 31, 2026, update your installed Acrobat app to the latest version to ensure uninterrupted access to Acrobat AI Assistant and enable PDF Services to access PDF Spaces and its multi-document capabilities.

Adobe is introducing two updates that enhance AI Assistant and multi-document workflows. To ensure your organization can access the full value of these capabilities without interruption, update your installed Acrobat applications to the latest version and turn on PDF Services by May 31, 2026.

Upgraded pipeline for AI Assistant

Adobe has upgraded the AI Assistant answer pipeline to match the higher-quality PDF Spaces pipeline. This enhancement introduces in‑chat chart generation, delivers more accurate answers with improved attribution, and supports attribution across multiple languages.

Multi-document workflows transition to PDF Spaces

To deliver a more powerful multi‑document experience, Adobe is migrating the legacy multi‑doc feature from AI Assistant to PDF Spaces. With PDF Spaces, users gain:

  • Multi‑document chat for streamlined interaction
  • Faster insights with improved processing
  • Deeper analysis across multiple files
  • Sharing and publishing capabilities
  • Note‑saving functionality for better organization
  • Custom assistants tailored to specific needs

Admin actions required

To avoid disruption and ensure your organization continues to have access to your plan’s full capabilities, ensure the following:

Update your organization’s apps to the latest versions:

  • Web: No action is required if using acrobat.adobe.com
  • Desktop: Version 25.001.21288 or latest.

  • Android: Adobe Acrobat 26.2.0.43379 or latest.

  • iOS: Version 26.02.50 or latest.

Make sure PDF Services is enabled in the Admin Console to access PDF Spaces and its multi-document capabilities.
