Last updated on Dec 16, 2024

Applies to enterprise.

Learn how to report your organization's additional deployments using the license assignment data in your Adobe Admin Console.

Adobe ETLA Deployment form

The Adobe ETLA Deployment form helps you report any additional licenses deployed during the previous year of your ETLA contract.

60 days before your anniversary date, your Adobe representative will share an editable Adobe ETLA Deployment form via email. Fill the form and email it back to your representative at etlatrueup@adobe.com. Submit the form at least 14 days before each anniversary date.

Refer to your license assignment data in the Admin Console to fill the Adobe ETLA Deployment form. Report additional deployments for all products and regions, where applicable in the Adobe ETLA Deployment form.

Calculate the Annual average

Follow the given instructions to calculate the Annual average of over-deployed licenses:

Navigate to Reports in the Insights tab. Then, go to Insights > Reports > License assignment > Create > enter Date range > click Create.

Enter the start and end date for your current contract year. If the current contract year is not complete; enter the End date as the last date of the last completed month.

If you have multiple Admin Console accounts, run this report from all the Admin Console accounts. Then, aggregate the license assignment for each product and date in the report and use the aggregated license assignment data in the next step.

For all the completed months of the contract period, determine the monthly peak of assigned licenses for each product.

Monthly peak = Highest number of licenses daily assigned in a contract month

Calculate over-deployment for all months using the formula below:

  • If monthly peak higher than baseline: Monthly over-deployment Monthly peak - Baseline
  • If monthly peak less than or equal to baseline: Monthly over-deployment = 0
  • For last month of contract, consider the Monthly over-deployment same as that of the previous month

Apply the following formula to the monthly over-deployment numbers to calculate the average for the period of over-deployed licenses:

Sum of all over-deployment / total number of months = Annual average

For the above example:

Annual average = (0 + 20 + 25 + 25 + 30 + 35 + 40 + 45 + 65 + 75 + 0 + 0) / 12 = 360 / 12 = 30

If your contract duration is not equal to 12 months, take the total over-deployment over your contract duration divided by the number of months of over-deployment.

For the above example:

Average for the respective months (say, January through June= January+February+March+April+May

+May)= (0 + 20 + 25 + 25 + 30 + 30) / 6 = 130/ 6 = 21.7

If the average over-deployment ends up with a decimal number:

  • if decimal number is equal or greater than 0.5, round up to the next number up (22 for the above example).
  • If decimal number is less than 0.5, round down to the previous number.

Similarly, calculate the Contract period average over-deployment for each product in your ETLA contract. Then, enter this annual average in the Total Added column against the corresponding product in the Adobe ETLA Deployment form.

Where applicable, use the rows for the corresponding region to enter regional over-deployment data.

Note

License Assignment data in the Admin Console reflects worldwide data. It does NOT show regional breakout (GEO-based license deployment).

After you've filled the deployment count for all products and all regions, enter your organization's credentials. Then, share the form with your Adobe representative via the email: etlatrueup@adobe.com.
