Apply Presets to videos

Last updated on Jun 5, 2026

Learn how to use preset categories to instantly enhance video color, tone, and style with adjustable intensity.

Presets let you apply consistent color grading and tonal adjustments to your video clips with a single selection. When you apply a preset to a video, only the enhancement controls compatible with video editing are applied. Some photo-compatible adjustments may not transfer to video clips.

Select a video to open in Detail view.

Select Presets from the Edit panel.

In the Presets panel, select one of the following categories:

  • Recommended: Generates presets based on your video using Adobe Sensei and adapts over time as the AI learns. Use carousel options like Subtle, Strong, Cool, Warm, Dark, Bright, Cinematic, and HDR to filter by style and intensity.
  • Premium: Provides curated presets updated with each Lightroom release, including:
    • Portraits: Enhances people's videos with options like Deep Skin, Medium Skin, Light Skin, Black & White, Edgy, and Group.
    • Auto+: Creates a Retro style look with enhanced automatic adjustments and offers multiple variations.
    • Seasons: Adds seasonal tones with presets like Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.
    • Style: Adds creative looks such as Black & White, Cinematic, Cinematic II, Film-Inspired, Futuristic, and Vintage.
    • Subject: Defines themed looks to videos with groups like Concerts, Food, Landscape, Lifestyle, Travel, Travel II, and Urban Architecture.
    • Video: Applies Creative presets optimized specifically for video editing.
  • Yours: Displays presets you created or saved for quick access.

Browse the preset groups within your selected category, and then select a preset variation.

Select the applied preset thumbnail to reveal the Amount slider.

Drag the slider to increase or decrease the intensity of the preset effect.

Select the Done icon to save your settings.

Note

Recommended presets change over time as Adobe Sensei learns from your video.
