Search photos using Google Assistant

Last updated on Jun 5, 2026

Learn how to use Google Assistant voice commands to search for photos.

The Google Assistant integration lets you search your photo library hands-free. The assistant passes your search query directly to Adobe Lightroom, which then performs the same intelligent search as if you had typed the query manually.

Note

Google Assistant search requires an active internet connection and is currently supported only in English.

Open Google Assistant on your Android device.

To start searching for images in Lightroom on the mobile, do one of the following:

  • Select the mic icon and say: Search <your search keyword> in Lightroom.
  • Select the keyboard icon and type your query.

Review the search results that appear in Lightroom on mobile.
