Reduce noise in photos on iPad using Denoise

Last updated on Aug 4, 2026

Use Denoise to reduce noise in your photos with AI, while preserving fine detail.

Denoise reduces noise in your photos while preserving fine detail. It's ideal for photos taken in low light or at high ISO. Denoise requires an iPad Pro or iPad Air with an M-series chip (M1 or later) and at least 8GB of RAM.

Supported file types

Denoise works with the following file formats:

  • RAW files
  • Linear DNGs, including HDR and Pano DNG photos, created in Lightroom

When you try to apply Denoise to an unsupported file format, Lightroom on iPad shows a Learn more link in the Detail panel with more details.

Open a supported raw file in the Detail view.

From the Tools panel, select Edit > Detail.

Toggle on Denoise to enhance your photo.

This uses AI to reduce noise while preserving detail.

Use the Amount slider to adjust the strength of noise reduction.

To fine-tune manually, scroll to Manual denoise and adjust the panel sliders.

Note

Denoise is currently not available when editing a Community remix.
