After completing the purchase, you may still view Subscription Expired, or premium features such as Masking, Lens Blur, and Generative Remove may remain locked. In these cases, the app may continue to behave as if you are using the free version, even though the payment was completed successfully.
One of the most common causes is being signed in with a different Adobe ID than the one used for the purchase. Since the subscription is linked to a specific Adobe ID, signing in with another account prevents access to premium features.
If you're unsure which Adobe ID is associated with your purchase, check your purchase history in the App Store to confirm the account used for the transaction.
Open the Lightroom app and navigate to Settings > Account.
Verify the email address displayed matches the Adobe ID you used during purchase.
To change the email ID, sign out and sign back in with the correct Adobe ID.
If you're signed in with the correct Adobe ID but still can’t access premium features, the purchase may not be properly linked to your Lightroom account:
Launch the Lightroom app on your device.
In Albums view, select the settings icon in the upper-right corner. If you're in Grid or Loupe view, select the three-dots icon in the upper-right corner and select Settings .
In the Settings menu, select the Accordion icon next to your Account name and Adobe ID.
In the Accounts screen, select Restore Purchases.
Wait for the restoration process to complete and verify that premium features are now available.
If account verification and purchase restoration don't resolve the issue, a system refresh may help:
Don’t uninstall and reinstall the Lightroom app, as this may result in data loss for photos and edits that haven't been synced to the cloud yet.
If none of these solutions restore access to your premium features, post your issue to the Adobe Support Community with details about your device platform, the Adobe ID you're using, and confirmation that you've completed the given steps. For billing questions specific to your app store purchase, contact Apple Support.
