Sometimes, the update notification icons appear in both the Creative Cloud desktop app and Adobe Update Manager. However, when when you select the Adobe Update Manager icon, the Creative Cloud desktop app launches.
Some apps still use Adobe Update Manager
Some Adobe apps use Adobe Update Manager instead of the Creative Cloud desktop app to notify and install updates. Follow these steps to turn off notifications from Adobe Update Manager.
Select Help > Check for Updates.
When Adobe Update Manager launches, select Preferences.
Uncheck the Update Notification icon. The update manager will remain functional but will no longer display duplicate updates.
