Creative Cloud apps may fail to update when the Dynamic Link Manager process runs in the background.
Most Creative Cloud apps use a system called Dynamic Link to communicate. So, closing all Creative Cloud apps before you begin the installation or update process is necessary.
Close all open Creative Cloud apps that you are currently updating.
Wait 30-45 seconds for all background processes to fully shut down.
Select Retry in the update dialog box.
The Dynamic Link Manager may be stuck. Try closing the process manually:
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc and select Task Manager.
In the Processes tab, select the Name column to sort alphabetically.
Select DynamicLinkManager.exe, right-click on it, and then select End Task.
Press Command + Spacebar to open Spotlight Search and search for Activity Monitor.
Select the Process Name column to sort alphabetically.
Select dynamiclinkmanager.
Double-click the process you wish to close and then select Quit in the dialog box.
If prompted, select Force Quit to end the process.
If you're still unable to update, restart your computer and attempt the update again before launching any Creative Cloud apps.
