Creative Cloud desktop app crashes after system restarts

Learn what to do if the Creative Cloud desktop app crashes unexpectedly when you restart your system.

Launch at login setting is turned off

If you deselect the Launch Creative Cloud at login setting in the Creative Cloud desktop app preferences and restart your system, you may encounter a crash report dialog with the message: "Adobe has detected that the application Creative Cloud has unexpectedly quit". 

To resolve this issue, download the latest version of the Creative Cloud desktop app:

Go to the Creative Cloud download page and select Download Creative Cloud.

Double-click the downloaded file to begin installation:

  • macOS: Creative_Cloud_Installer.dmg
  • Windows: Creative_Cloud_Set-Up.exe

Follow the on-screen instructions.

After the installation, sign in to your apps again.
