Check for app updates

Learn how to check for available app updates, review pending releases, and keep your installed Creative Cloud apps up to date.

Select the Creative Cloud icon in the Windows taskbar or the macOS menu bar to open the Creative Cloud desktop app.

In the Apps tab on the left sidebar, select Manage updates.

Select Your apps to view all the apps installed on your machine — The Manage updates page provides access to update-related actions, including checking for available releases and configuring automatic update preferences for installed apps.

Note

Manage updates in the Apps tab lets you configure update settings, check for updates, and view updates. When app updates are available, the Update section in Manage updates lists them.

In the Manage updates window, select Check for updates.

The More actions icon under Installed apps in the Apps tab shows options to enable or manage auto updates and check for updates. — Selecting Check for updates performs a manual scan for newer versions of installed apps and refreshes the list of available releases in the Creative Cloud desktop app.

In the Updates window, select Update to review available app releases.

Select Updates to access apps to be updated. — Only apps with available updates appear in the Updates list.

Your apps are now up to date with the latest available releases.

Note

If you have turned on auto-updates, your apps will update automatically.
