Install apps that are no longer developed

Learn how to display and install older Creative Cloud app versions that are no longer actively developed.

Some Creative Cloud plans include access to selected app versions that are no longer actively developed. To make these apps available for installation, enable the option to display older versions of apps in the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Select the Creative Cloud icon in the Windows taskbar or the macOS menu bar to open the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Select the Account icon in the upper-right corner, and then select Preferences.

The Creative Cloud desktop app home screen displays the Account drop-down menu with the option to Sign out. — The Preferences menu provides access to settings that control app installation behavior, update options, language preferences, and the visibility of older app versions.

Select the Apps tab in the left panel and turn on the Show Older Apps option.

The Apps tab in the Preferences window provides the option for Creative Cloud desktop app to display older app versions. — Enabling Show Older Apps adds eligible earlier app versions to the installation options, allowing access to versions that may not appear in the default app list.

Select Done to apply the changes.
