Permanently remove a user and all data they own from Adobe Acrobat Analyzer.
Delete user data when your organization needs to remove a user’s information from Acrobat Analyzer. Deleting a user removes all data they own, including shared collections and attributes that other users may rely on.
This action is permanent. Before you delete a user, preserve any data your organization needs to retain.
Before you begin
- You must be a System Admin or Privacy Admin. Either role provides access to delete user data.
- There is no way to preview all data that will be deleted. Review ownership carefully before proceeding.
- Review any collections, files, attributes, or extracted values owned by the user.
- Preserve any data that other users or business processes depend on.
- You can delete up to 10 users at one time
Deleting a user permanently removes all data they own. This includes collections, files, attributes, and extracted values—even if shared with other users. This action cannot be undone.
Preserve user-owned data before deletion
This is the only way to retain user-owned data before deletion. If you skip this, all data owned by the user will be permanently deleted.
All non-sample assets in Acrobat Analyzer are owned by a user. Sharing gives other users access, but it does not change ownership. There is no process to transfer ownership of collections, attributes, or files.
To preserve a user’s data before deletion:
- Share the user’s collections with an administrator account.
- Download the files and available extracted data.
- Re-upload the files under another user account.

Things to know
- Think of a user as the container for their data. Deleting the user deletes everything inside that container.
- Assets belong to the user who created them. Sharing provides access, not ownership.
- Deleting a user removes all assets they own, even if those assets are shared with other users.
- Other users may lose access to shared collections, files, attributes, and extracted values owned by the deleted user.
- There is no recycle bin, undo action, or ownership transfer option after deletion begins.
- There is no built-in view to list all assets owned by a user before deletion.
- Some system-level records may be retained for audit, operational, or business-critical purposes.
- The deletion process is available only in the web application. API deletion is not available.
- Deletion runs asynchronously and may take time to complete.
- The deletion process works the same in all supported regions.
