  • Font management: Embed fonts to ensure consistent appearance across different systems, subset fonts to reduce file size, and manage font substitution when necessary.

Watched Folders

Watched Folders in Acrobat Distiller let you automate PDF creation when you have multiple PostScript files to convert into PDFs. When you add or save a PostScript file in Watched Folders, Distiller automatically converts the PostScript file into a PDF. Each Watched Folders contain an In folder for PostScript files and an Out folder for converted PDFs.

Acrobat Distiller can monitor up to 100 Watched Folders. Each watched folder can have unique Adobe PDF Settings and security settings that apply to all files processed in that folder. Security settings for a watched folder have priority over the security settings for Distiller. For example, Distiller does not convert a PostScript file added to a watched folder if the file is marked with read-only permission.
