How unlinking Facebook affects Adobe account access

Last updated on Jan 27, 2026

Learn what happens when you request to delete your Adobe data via Facebook and how you can continue to access your Adobe account after deletion.

If you created your Adobe account using Facebook, Adobe uses certain data shared by Facebook, such as your email address, to authenticate your account. When you revoke Adobe's access to this Facebook data:

  • Adobe immediately removes the connection between your Facebook and Adobe accounts.
  • Adobe’s servers remove your personal data shared from Facebook.
  • Your Adobe account remains intact and accessible using alternative authentication methods.

This process ensures your privacy while maintaining your access to Adobe products and services.

Ways to sign in to your Adobe account after unlinking Facebook

After removing the connection between your Adobe account and Facebook, you'll need to use a different authentication method to sign in:

  • If your account already has other authentication methods configured, such as an email address and password, or phone number, sign in using one of these alternative methods.
  • If you used Facebook as your only sign-in method, you can set up a new authentication method by selecting Get help signing in on the Adobe account sign-in page. Follow the onscreen instructions to verify your identity and set up a password.
