Can't sign in with two-step verification

Last updated on Jan 27, 2026

Resolve common two-step verification issues and regain access to your Adobe account.

You didn’t receive the verification code

Wait a few minutes, as codes may be delayed.

Check your spam or junk mail folder if you selected email as your preferred method for receiving the code.

On the Verify your identity page, select Resend Code.

The Resend Code button in the Verify your identity window lets you request a new verification code.
Check your spam or junk mail folder again if the new code hasn't come to your inbox.

If you still didn’t get a code, select Use another method to receive the code on the Verify your identity page.

The Use another method to receive the code button offers alternate methods to get a verification code.
You can use either a phone or email for verification.

Select an alternative verification method:

  • If you previously selected email, select text message.
  • If you previously selected text message, select email.

Try signing in again with the new code.

You don’t have access to your two-step verification methods

If you've enabled two-step verification for your account and forgotten your password, you need access to at least two of the following to retrieve it:

  • Email address linked to your Adobe account
  • Mobile phone number linked to your Adobe account
  • Adobe Account Access app

Without access to at least two of these options, you won't be able to access your account. In this case, we recommend that you create a new account. To cancel a subscription on your previous account, contact our support team with your card details.

You don’t have permission to remove phone number or deactivate two-step verification

Verify if your Adobe account is associated with a company or school account. If your IT admin has enabled two-step verification at the organizational level, you can’t:

  • Remove your phone number completely
  • Deactivate both email and SMS verification options simultaneously

Contact your organization’s IT administrator for assistance with account security settings.

Ask them about your organization's policy regarding two-step verification requirements.

Your verification code has expired

Your verification code is valid for 10 minutes. If your code has expired, you can receive a new code.

On the Verify your identity page, select Resend Code.

The Resend Code button in the Verify your identity window lets you request a new verification code.
You can use another method to receive the code.

Enter the code that you received on your phone number or email address and select Continue.

You’ve successfully signed in to your Adobe account.
