Use passkeys for your Adobe account

Learn how to set up a passkey to sign in to your Adobe account without using a password.

Set up a passkey

Passkeys let you sign in to your Adobe account without a password. Instead of typing a password, you can use your device PIN, fingerprint, or face ID. You can create multiple passkeys and use any of them to access your account.

To set up a passkey, follow the instructions for your operating system:

In the Sign-in and security page, go to the Passkeys section and select Add.

The Add button, located in the Passkeys section on the right side of the page, provides the option to set up a passkey for signing in to your Adobe account. — The Windows Security prompt opens, displaying multiple methods to save a passkey.

In the Making sure it's you window, enter your device PIN to save your passkey.

The field to enter the device PIN, available in the window to verify your identity, allows you to save your passkey using your device PIN and use it for signing in. — After entering the PIN or biometric, the passkey is saved on your device.

You can now use your device PIN or biometric to sign in to your account.

If you want to use a different method to set up a passkey, Select Use another device under More choices to save your passkey using:

Your phone or tablet.
A USB security key.

Follow the onscreen instructions to save your passkey.

In the Sign-in and security page, go to the Passkeys section and select Add.

Use your device PIN or Touch ID to finish setting up the passkey.

The Sign In prompt, which appears after you select Add, provides the option to save a passkey using your Touch ID or device PIN. — The passkey is saved in the iCloud Keychain of your macOS device.

You can now use your device PIN or biometric to sign in to your account.

If you want to use a different method to set up a passkey, select Cancel in the Sign In prompt.

The Cancel button, located at the upper-right corner of the Sign In prompt, allows you to view additional ways to set up a passkey. — You can save multiple passkeys for your account.

Select one of the available options and follow the onscreen instructions to save your passkey.

Sign in with a passkey

Once you set up a passkey, you can use it to sign in to your Adobe account. Follow these steps to use your passkey for signing in:

Go to https://account.adobe.com.

Enter your email address and select Continue.

Select Sign in with passkey.

The Sign in with a passkey button, available in the lower half area of the Enter your password window, allows you to use one of the saved passkeys for signing in to your Adobe account. — If you have added multiple passkeys, you can use any of them to sign in to your account.

Note

Alternatively, you can view a list of saved passkeys when you type your email address. Select the preferred passkey to sign in to your Adobe account.

Follow the onscreen instructions to verify your identity and sign in to your account.

The verification prompt, which appears after you select Sign in with a passkey, allows you to verify your identity using your biometrics or password. — Your instructions may vary based on how you created the passkey.

You’ve successfully signed in to your account using your passkey.

Tip

If passkey authentication fails, sign in to your Adobe account using your email and password, or try again after a short time.
