Deactivate two-step verification

Last updated on Jan 27, 2026

Learn how to turn off two-step verification for signing in to your Adobe account.

Two-step verification enhances your Adobe account security by requiring a verification code in addition to your password when you sign in. Although Adobe recommends keeping this feature on, you might need to turn it off in some cases, such as when:

  • You’re troubleshooting sign-in issues.
  • You no longer have access to your verification method.

Sign in to your Adobe account.

On the Sign-in and security page, go to the Two-step verification section and turn off the toggle for the verification method you want to disable.

The toggle buttons, located on the upper-right side of the screen under Two-step verification, allow you to turn off the required verification method.
You can turn two-step verification on again at any time.

If prompted, select Remove in the confirmation window.

You’ll get a success notification, indicating that you’ve deactivated two-step verification.
