"Please close the following applications to continue: - SafariNotificati" error when installing Acrobat
Issue: Installation error message
When you install Acrobat Pro DC or Acrobat XI Pro from the Creative Cloud desktop application on Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks, the following message appears: "Please close the following applications to continue: - SafariNotificati."

Solution
A conflicting application is blocking installation. Run the Activity Monitor to stop it.
Go to Applications > Utilities to find Activity Monitor, and launch it by double-clicking its icon. (The Applications folder is on the root level of your hard drive.)
In the Activity Monitor, select the process with the full name SafariNotificationAgent, then click the upper-left button to close the process.
