Project Sunrise | Work with assets

Once an Asset has been uploaded and processed by Sunrise, it is given the status Reviewable. The Reviewable status means you can review the media generated for an asset, view information about the asset, and approve it for use in projects.

The Asset viewer

The Asset viewer is where you can review and manage individual assets. You can open any asset in the Asset viewer by clicking the asset thumbnail in the Asset library.

VIEW GENERATED MEDIA

The Asset viewer allows you to review assets. By default, the Asset viewer opens to the 2D view if 2D content is available.

The 2D view shows a series of renders of the asset. These renders serve as a preview of how the asset could appear in projects.

The 3D view lets you view the asset from any angle by moving the camera around the asset.

  • To rotate the camera, left click and drag.
  • To pan the camera up and down, left and right, right click and drag.
  • To zoom the camera in or out, move the scroll wheel up or down.

Use the AR button to access a QR code. You can use your phone or other AR device to scan the QR code and view the asset in augmented reality.

Asset information

The right hand panel of the Asset viewer shows information about the currently open asset. Use the buttons at the top of the right hand bar to view different information about the asset. You can close the panel by selecting the currently open panel.

Review asset status

The status panel shows the current status of the 2D, 3D, and AR versions of the asset. Use the dropdown arrows next to the 3D and AR sections to view more information about the asset and how it has been processed by Sunrise.

Under each type of media, you can see the source used to generate that media. In the screenshots above, both AR and 3D are using the Project Sunrise-optimized file, while the 2D images are generated using the original file.

Review asset information

The Information panel shows general information about the asset. Sunrise shows information for two files here - the originally uploaded file, and the Sunrise optimized file.

The Information panel allows you to set a product ID for the asset in order to link the asset to its real-world counterpart. The Information panel also allows you to tag assets. Tags are not currently used elsewhere in Sunrise, but search and filter by tags is in development.

Communicate with teammates

The Comments panel allows you to communicate with other members of your organization and external users that have been invited to the current asset. This is particularly useful for reviewing the media generated for an asset.

Members of your organization will have access to all of Project Sunrise, while external users will only be able to view content they have explicitly been invited to review.

You can learn more about the Comments panel here.

Note:

You can only invite people to review content if you are the creator of the asset or project. If you are not the creator, the share button will be greyed out.

Share your asset

The top right of the Asset viewer has a Share button. Use this to invite people from your organization to view or review your asset. You can also copy the URL from the address bar and send it to others in your organization.

Note:

You can also invite people outside your organization to review assets if they have an Adobe Creative Cloud account.

Approve assets

Once an asset has been reviewed by stakeholders, you can tell Sunrise that the asset is ready for use in projects by approving the asset.

To approve an asset:

  • Open the asset in the Asset viewer.
  • Use the status dropdown at the top right of the Asset viewer.
  • Set the status to Approved.

Once an asset is approved, it is not possible to revert it to the Reviewable state, or upload new versions of the asset.

Currently, an asset only needs a single person to mark it approved for the asset's status to change. This is the case even if other stakeholders have been asked to review the asset.
