Modify renders
There are two main methods of modifying a render:
- Re-render at a different resolution.
- Adjust camera angles.
Re-render images
In a new project, all renders will be tagged as a Preview. This indicates that they are very low-resolution renders. You can render images at higher or lower quality levels, and the tags will be updated to reflect the current render quality.
Rendering a 2D shot at a higher resolution is useful when a render doesn’t show enough detail to approve the shot for final publishing.
To re-render images, select the 2D shots you wish to render, then click Render. Choose the quality and size, then confirm your choices by clicking Render.
Selecting shots
- Open the Project viewer.
- Hover over a shot.
- Click the checkbox that appears in the top left corner of the shot while hovering.
- Hover and check additional shots to work with a larger selection.
ADJUST CAMERA ANGLES
Some of the auto-generated shots may need some tweaking to highlight specific details of an asset. For these cases, you can modify the camera angle of individual shots.
First, open the image in the 2D viewer by clicking the thumbnail. Then click edit shot to start making changes.
Once you find an angle you like, click Save and close. Sunrise will start rendering a new version of the shot from your chosen camera angle, at the previously set resolution and scale.
Images that have had their camera angles manually updated are tagged with a yellow “Modified” icon in their thumbnails.
