Applies to enterprise.
Learn how global administrators can generate and download detailed license reports for multiple organizations and products for specific date ranges to facilitate precise tracking of license provisioning.
To create, view, and export a license assignment report, sign in to the Global Admin Console, and go to Insights > Reports > License assignment.
License assignment reports help you proactively monitor license provisioning and reduce manual tracking. Global admins can create a license assignment report for select products for any number of child organizations to monitor software license provisioning data across all departments.
-
-
On the License Assignment page, select Create report.
-
Select the organizations and select Next. You can individually pick each organization or select all child orgs within a parent using the Select all button.
If a child org doesn't have a contract or has a separate enterprise contract with the same product as that of the parent org, it is disabled from creating a license assignment report. For example, if the parent org's contract has Adobe Acrobat, and the child org has the same as part of another contract, the product is limited for allocation. As a result of this, it's also limited for report creation in the Global Admin Console. Learn how to track provisioning for such orgs using their respective Admin Console.
Note:You can create assignment reports only for organizations with an active contract.
-
Select the products to include in the report and select Next.
Products that aren't allocatable in the Global Admin Console are not included for report creation. This currently includes some Digital Experience products like Workfront, Adobe Experience Manager, and Adobe Experience Platform, and also products like Adobe Firefly Services, Acrobat Sign, and Adobe Stock. You use the Adobe Admin Console to find the license provisioning data for these products.
-
Select whether to aggregate the report by month or year.
-
Select a custom date range or choose from preset options. You can pick any start date from June 18, 2020, up to the previous day, as long as it does not precede your contract start date.
-
Select Download to export the report as a CSV file.
The report begins processing and appears on the License Assignment page with details such as name, creator, creation time, date range, and status. Once ready, you receive an email notification and the report downloads automatically.
Any global admin can download the report anytime after it's ready, using the Download
icon next to the report name.Note:- To ensure the latest data is reflected, generate reports 48 hours after any allocation.
- Reports are retained for 90 days after they are generated.
View and download previously generated reports
Global admins can view and download the license assignment reports generated by any other global admin in your organization. Howevere, global viewers can only view the list of license assignment reports.
