Review user analytics

Last updated on Aug 20, 2026

Compare top users and review detailed activity across collections and features.

The Users tab in Analytics provides a top-10 chart and a detailed activity table. The chart uses predefined reporting periods, while the table supports a custom date range.

Open user analytics

Sign in to Knowledge Base in Acrobat as an administrator.

Select Analytics from the navigation menu.

Select the Users tab.

Review the top 10 users

The chart shows the 10 highest-ranking users for the selected metric and reporting period.

Choose a ranking metric:

  • By transactions
  • By number of collections accessed

Choose a date range:

  • Last month
  • Last 3 months
  • Last 6 months
  • YTD

The horizontal bars show each user and the recorded value for the selected metric.

The chart displays only the top 10 users. It does not provide a way to display additional users.

Review detailed user activity

The table below the chart shows activity by user and collection.

A user can appear in multiple rows when their activity is associated with multiple collections.

Select a date range

Use the calendar control to choose the start and end dates for the table.

Enable Pin date range to retain the selected dates while you remain on the Users tab.

Select the refresh icon to update the table for the selected date range.

  • Chat bots: Activity recorded for chatbot usage.

Available table controls

Search

Select the search icon and enter a value shown in the table, such as a user email address or collection name.

The table updates to show matching records.

Select the column-visibility icon to choose which columns appear in the table.

The plus icon is not documented because its purpose has not been confirmed.

How it works

The chart and table provide different views of user activity:

  • The chart ranks the top 10 users using a selected metric and predefined date range.
  • The table provides activity details by user, collection, and feature for a custom date range.

Each section has its own reporting-period controls.

Best practices

  • Use the chart to identify the most active users for a selected metric.
  • Use the detailed table to review the collections and features associated with that activity.
  • Pin the date range when reviewing several searches or column configurations for the same period.

Things to know

  • You must be an administrator to access user analytics.
  • The chart displays no more than 10 users.
  • A user can appear in multiple table rows.
  • Pin date range persists only while you remain on the Users tab.
  • Showing or hiding columns changes the table display but does not remove analytics data.
  • The purpose of the plus icon requires confirmation.
