Overview of configurable settings

Last updated on Aug 20, 2026

Configure organization-wide capabilities and integrations available to Knowledge Base users.

Administrators use Settings in Knowledge Base in Acrobat to control which supported connectors and chatbot capabilities are available across the organization.

Enabling a capability makes it available for users to configure or use. Some integrations require additional setup before users can access them.

Configure connectors

Use the connector settings to make supported storage integrations available to users.

Administrators can enable:

  • Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Google Drive.

After a connector is enabled, users can connect supported storage locations and add content from those sources to collections.

Enable Microsoft SharePoint and Google Drive connectors >

Configure chatbot integrations

Chatbot configuration uses two levels of organization settings.

First, enable the supported messaging platforms that users can use with Knowledge Base:

  • Microsoft Teams.
  • Slack.

Enable Slack and Microsoft Teams chatbot integrations >

You must also associate Knowledge Base with the Microsoft Teams tenant or Slack workspace used by your organization.

Set up chatbot app integrations >

After the required organization settings are configured, users can connect supported channels to collections.

How settings affect users

Organization settings determine which configurable capabilities appear in the user experience.

For example:

  • If a storage connector is not enabled, users cannot configure that connector for a collection.
  • If a chatbot integration is not enabled, users cannot connect collections to that messaging platform.
  • Enabling a capability does not automatically configure it for individual users or collections.

Changes to organization settings can therefore affect existing workflows as well as the options available when users create or manage collections.

Things to know

  • You must be an administrator to manage configurable settings.
  • Settings apply at the organization level.
  • Enabling a capability makes it available but may not complete the required setup.
  • Connector and chatbot integrations can require additional user- or collection-level configuration.
