Configure organization-wide capabilities, review activity, and inspect managed resources.
Administrators use Knowledge Base in Acrobat to configure organization-wide capabilities, review activity, and inspect the resources associated with their organization.
Understand the administration areas
The administration experience is divided into three areas:
Use Settings to make a capability available, Assets to inspect the related resources, and Org analytics to review associated activity and totals.
Open the administration areas
Sign in to Knowledge Base as an administrator, then use the main navigation to open:
- Settings
- Analytics
- Assets
Configure organization settings
Use Settings to control which capabilities and integrations are available to users.
Administrators can:
- Enable Microsoft SharePoint and Google Drive connectors.
- Enable Slack and Microsoft Teams bot integrations for users.
- Set up or remove chatbot app integrations for a Slack workspace or Microsoft Teams tenant.
Changes made in Settings can affect which options users see when they work with collections, connectors, and chatbots.
Review organization analytics
Use Analytics to review organization totals, activity, and trends.
The available tabs provide different levels of detail:
- General analytics summarizes current collections, document ingestion, transactions, chatbot configurations, and connector status.
- Collection analytics compares collection size, ownership, sharing, and activity.
- User analytics compares activity by user and collection.
Use these views to compare organization totals and activity and identify records that may require closer review.
Review organization assets
Use Assets to inspect the resources associated with the organization.
Administrators can review:
- Collections and ownership.
- Connectors and status.
- Users and roles.
- Chatbot integrations.
- API clients.
Some Assets pages are read-only. Others provide limited administrative actions, such as deleting a user or API client.
How the administration areas work together
The three administration areas support different parts of the same administrative workflow.
For example, an administrator might:
- Enable a connector type in Settings.
- Review configured connectors in Assets.
- Monitor connector totals and synchronization status in Org analytics.
Use this pattern where the related capability, asset record, and analytics are available: configure availability, inspect the associated resources, then review activity and totals.
Best practices
- Check Settings when a capability is unavailable.
- Use Analytics to identify activity or trends that require investigation.
- Use Assets to inspect the affected user, collection, connector, API client, or integration.
- Review confirmation messages carefully before deleting a user, API client, or chatbot app integration.
Things to know
- You must be an administrator to access these pages.
- Settings controls organization-wide capabilities and integrations.
- Analytics provides summarized totals and activity.
- Assets provides organization-wide inventories and object details.
