Re-index a collection

Reprocess uploaded documents so Knowledge Base uses their latest content for search and AI-powered results.

Reindexing uploads and processes a document’s content again. Use it when an uploaded document has changed or when its content does not appear correctly in search results, summaries, or AI Assistant responses.

You can reindex one document or multiple documents in the same collection.

Reindex documents

From the Knowledge Base home page, select the Collections filter.

Open the collection that contains the documents you want to reindex.

Select one or more uploaded documents.

Select the ellipsis next to the file name.

Select Reindex from the dropdown.

Select Reindex to confirm.

Knowledge Base uploads and processes the selected documents again. The updated content becomes available after processing finishes.

Things to know

  • Reindexing is available only for uploaded documents.
  • Public Website items are not indexed in advance and cannot be reindexed.
  • You can reindex one document or multiple documents at the same time.
  • Processing time depends on the number and size of the selected documents.
  • Search results and AI-generated responses may not reflect the updated content until processing finishes.
  • Reindexing does not remove documents from the collection or change collection access.
