Set up chatbot app integrations

Last updated on Aug 20, 2026

Connect your Knowledge Base in Acrobat organization to Microsoft Teams or Slack.

Account administrators set up a chatbot app integration by associating a unique Microsoft Teams tenant ID or Slack workspace ID with their Knowledge Base in Acrobat organization. They must also enable the corresponding bot integration so users can add the Knowledge Base bot to their channels. Users then connect those channels to collections, completing the link between the tenant or workspace, the channel, and the collection.

Set up a chatbot app integration

Select Settings from the navigation menu.

Select the Chatbot Integration tab.

Select the integration you want to configure:

  • Set up Microsoft Teams integration
  • Set up Slack integration

Enter the required ID:

  • For Microsoft Teams, enter the Microsoft Teams tenant ID.
  • For Slack, enter the Slack workspace ID.

Select Set Up Integration.

Chatbot App Integrations tab with options to set up Microsoft Teams and Slack integrations.
Choose the platform whose tenant or workspace you want to associate with your organization.

A success notification appears at the bottom of the page. The selected Microsoft Teams tenant or Slack workspace is now associated with your Knowledge Base in Acrobat organization.

Delete an integration

Open Settings > Chatbot App Integrations.

Select the ellipsis on the configured integration.

Select Delete.

Delete an integration before associating a different tenant or workspace.

Confirm that you want to disconnect the integration.

Confirm the deletion in the second dialog.

Review the impact on connected chatbots before deleting the integration.

The integration is cleared of the ID, connected chatbots stop receiving updates, and the setup option becomes available again.

Open Microsoft Teams

Locate any team you belong to and select the three dots (...) next to its name.

Select Copy link from the pop-out menu

Paste the link into a text editor.

Your tenant is the last argument in the link containing &tenantID=

e.g., &tenantId=fa0r2g5a-9W2B-8205-22ec-d2c178dddfw1

Open any channel or direct message inside the workspace.

Look at the address bar at the top of your web browser.

Your workspace ID is the value right after /client/

e.g., https://app.slack.com/client/C8436G2HF/D0BAKAWCX2A?

How it works

A chatbot app integration associates one Microsoft Teams tenant or Slack workspace with your Knowledge Base in Acrobat organization.

Setting up the integration does not automatically connect collections to channels. Users must configure supported channels through the Manage chatbots option for each collection.

Microsoft Teams and Slack integrations are independent. You can configure either platform or both.

  • Responses include citations to the source content used to generate the answer. Users with access to the collection can follow those citations to Knowledge Base in the web interface to review the referenced source.
  • AI Assistant preferences configured in the Knowledge Base web interface persist across supported experiences, including Slack and Microsoft Teams.

Best practices

  • Verify the Microsoft Teams tenant ID or Slack workspace ID before setting up the integration.
  • Coordinate deletions with users who manage connected chatbots.
  • Review active chatbot configurations before removing an integration.

Things to know

  • Each configured integration provides only a Delete action.
  • You cannot edit a configured Microsoft Teams tenant ID or Slack workspace ID.
  • Deleting an integration requires two confirmations.
  • Deleting an integration stops connected chatbots from receiving updates.
  • You can configure the integration again after deletion.
