Open Settings.
Allow users to connect Microsoft SharePoint and Google Drive content to collections.
Connector settings control which external content platforms users can configure in Knowledge Base in Acrobat. You can enable either connector independently and limit how many connectors users can associate with one collection.
Enable or disable connectors
Select the Feature activation tab.
Select Edit.
Configure the available settings:
- Microsoft SharePoint Connector
- Google Drive Connector
- Max connectors per collection
Select Save Changes.
How the settings work
Enabling a connector makes that connector type available to users when they select Manage connectors for a collection.
Users must still have permission to access the external source and modify the destination collection. Enabling a connector does not grant access to SharePoint sites, Google Drive folders, or collection content.
The connector limit applies separately to each collection. After a collection reaches the configured maximum, users cannot add another connector unless they remove an existing one or an administrator raises the limit.
Best practices
Enable only the connector platforms approved for use by your organization.
Set the connector limit high enough to support legitimate content sources without allowing collections to accumulate unnecessary or duplicate connections.
Things to know
- Users configure connectors from the Collections page.
- Microsoft SharePoint and Google Drive can be enabled independently.
- Max connectors per collection applies to the combined number of connectors associated with a collection.
