Adobe Express enables anyone to quickly create content from thousands of templates available on both web and mobile platforms. Adobe Stock content is integrated directly into the Adobe Express interface, expanding your content's reach to a broader audience of creators. Learn more about Adobe Express.
Adobe Express includes access to Adobe Stock content directly within the app. Free collection content is available to all Adobe Express users, while paid members can access the entire royalty-free Adobe Stock photo collection. Premium and editorial content are not currently available in Adobe Express.
The Adobe Stock content collection available on Adobe Express doesn't include Premium or editorial content. There is limited Adobe Stock functionality available within Adobe Express web and desktop apps.
Users can incorporate Adobe Stock content into their Adobe Express designs and publish or download those designs for use outside the app. However, users cannot download, export, or share the content as a standalone file outside of Adobe Express. Learn more about our license terms.
Content not in the Free collection uses a Limited License — Adobe Express. This license allows users to:
- Use Adobe Stock content within Adobe Express.
- Incorporate the content into their Adobe Express designs, and publish or download their designs for use outside the Adobe Express app.
The license prohibits users to:
- Download, export, or share Adobe Stock content as a stand-alone file.
- Use the content as a stand-alone file outside of the Adobe Express app.
Adobe Stock content in the Free collection is downloaded under a standard license. Learn more about license types and usage restrictions.
Adobe Stock Contributors will be paid royalties on every piece of content licensed from the Adobe Stock collection. We also compensate Contributors upfront for every piece of content that’s available as part of the Free collection.
By making Adobe Stock content available in Adobe Express, we expose a broader group of users to Adobe Stock and create an additional source of income for our community of Contributors.
For assets licensed under non-standard licenses, Contributors receive one of the following royalties:
- 33% of the attributable amount for non-video assets and 35% for video content.
- Flat rates as documented in royalty details.
Royalties for content licensed through Adobe Express appear as "Custom" in your Contributor Portal dashboard. Licensed assets from the Free Collection won't appear in the dashboard since you've already received upfront payment.
Yes. Once your content is approved for Adobe Stock, it becomes immediately available in Adobe Express.
Inclusion of the Free collection in Adobe Express does not affect the terms of your Contributor agreement. For content included in the Free collection under limited, 1-year terms: once your content has been in the Free collection for a year, it will be moved back to the standard collection. At that point, your content will no longer be available for licensing to Adobe Express Free users, but will remain available for licensing to Adobe Express paid members and may be included in templates or other compilation content.
No. Adobe Stock Premium and editorial content are not currently available in Adobe Express.
Adobe Express includes Adobe Stock images, videos, icons, backgrounds, audio clips, and stickers. Only photos are available to users with the paid membership for the full collection, while other asset types have varying availability.
