Learn how to upload and and submit your photos through the Contributor portal to license on Adobe Stock.
The photo submission process includes uploading your files, entering metadata, and submitting them for moderation. If your photos feature recognizable people or property, you need to get the required model or property releases before you start. Submitting well-edited, accurately keyworded photos improves your acceptance rate and helps customers discover your work.
Pre-submission review
Before uploading photos to Adobe Stock:
- View the photo at 100% full resolution or higher to catch issues that may affect quality or lead to content refusal.
- Save your photo as a JPEG in the sRGB color space and ensure it meets the required file size.
- Ensure your metadata is accurate and relevant to the photo.
- Organize any required model or property releases to upload with your photo.

You’ve prepared your photos to the best of your ability, and they're now ready to be submitted to Adobe Stock. Follow these steps to publish your edited photos to Adobe Stock:
In the top panel, select Upload.
Select Browse, and choose the photo you want to upload, or drag and drop it into the Portal.
In the New tab, wait for Adobe Stock to automatically generate a preview for your content.
Specify the required metadata:
- Category: Choose the category that best describes the subject of the photo.
- Title: Describe what’s happening in the photo in a few words.

Review your submission to confirm visual quality, file format, and metadata accuracy.
If your image includes recognizable people or private property, attach the required model or property releases. Upload files or collect digital signatures using Adobe Acrobat Sign.
Once metadata entry and required releases are complete, select Submit to send the photo to moderation.
The moderation team reviews submissions for quality, legal compliance, and technical standards. Approved content appears in Adobe Stock search results and becomes available for customer licensing.
