Contributor content upload guidelines

Learn about the content types and understand their upload requirements and metadata standards for Adobe Stock. 

Contributors can upload content directly through the Contributor Portal. Once uploaded, you’ll need to add the required metadata and releases, then submit your content for moderation. 

Adobe Stock supports a variety of content types, including photos, illustrations, and videos. Each content type has its own guidelines that ensure quality, compliance, and discoverability within our collections.

Photos

  • Accepted formats: JPEG (.jpg).
  • Resolution: Minimum 4MP.
  • Requirements: Learn more about photo requirements.

Illustrations

  • Accepted formats: JPEG (.jpg), AI (.ai), EPS (.eps), or SVG (.svg).
  • Requirements: Learn more about illustration requirements.

Vectors

  • Accepted formats:  AI (.ai), EPS (.eps), or SVG (.svg).
  • Requirements: Learn more about vector requirements.

Generative AI

  • Accepted formats:  JPEG (.jpeg), AI (.ai), EPS (.eps), or SVG (.svg).
  • Requirements: Generative AI must be selected during upload. Refer to generative AI requirements.

Videos

  • Accepted formats:  MOV or MP4, H.264 codec.
  • Requirements: Learn more about video requirements.

Metadata, keywords, and categories 

When uploading your content, you have to add: 

Accurate metadata increases your content’s visibility and helps customers find it faster. 

Network connection issues with upload

If your network connection drops while you're uploading content, you'll see the content that has successfully been uploaded to the Contributor Portal. Once you reconnect, you'll be able to continue uploading your remaining content.
