Category
Learn how to identify the correct category for Adobe Stock content, and why it’s important for Contributors to align the right one with their submission.
Selecting the right category for the content helps customers find it easily. Categories help Adobe Stock customers explore and filter search results more efficiently, especially when browsing specific themes or subjects.
When Contributors upload content to the Contributor Portal, Adobe Sensei, our technology-powered system, automatically suggests a category based on your content. While this is often accurate and a great starting point, we recommend taking a moment to double-check. If another category best describes the content, select the correct category from the drop-down menu instead.
Categories are the roadmap that guides customers to the specific content, so it’s worth taking the time for Contributors to ensure they select the one that fits best.
Pick the correct category
Selecting the right category improves your content's visibility and helps customers find what they need. It can make a big difference in the earning potential and how the content performs in Adobe Stock collection.
Make sure to consider not only the primary subject matter but also other elements, including context, mood, and intent. If none of the categories is a perfect fit, select the closest one that best represents the content's core subject or message. Use the table below to find the right category for your content.
- Be accurate: Choose the category that aligns with your content’s theme, not just the most popular option.
- Use Sensei's suggestions as a starting point: Always review the auto-suggested category and adjust if necessary.
