If you have not previously received a 1099 via Adobe Stock’s electronic download form, a paper copy will be mailed via USPS to the address on file in your Adobe Stock Contributor account. You can also download a copy of your 1099 here

Using the electronic download form will prevent future paper copies from being sent via USPS.

If you sign your tax form more than 2 hours after opening it, the form cannot be validated and remains in draft state. Start a new form and submit it within two hours. Wait at least 2 hours after signing the draft before starting over.

No. Complete the tax form online in the tax center in your Contributor account.

Don't enter decimals in the withholding rate on line 10. For example, enter 10 instead of 10.00.

Access the withholding rates table, find your country of residency, and use the Motion Picture or TV column for videos and images, and the other column for other content. Select the Treaty Article column for your citation.

This section is unavailable when the tax treaty between the US and your country of residence applies the same withholding rate to all royalty types. The correct rate applies automatically, so you don't need to specify it.

Yes. Email adobetax@adobe.com to request a signed statement of royalties earned and withholding tax for any year.

When you earn royalties, applicable taxes are automatically withheld and sent to the IRS.

No. The validated form and appropriate withholding rate apply only to future transactions.

Until your tax form is validated, Adobe automatically withholds income at the maximum tax rate. Submitting the applicable form may reduce your withholding rate to zero or a lower percentage based on your country's tax treaty with the US.
