Image guidelines for video templates

Last updated on Jun 11, 2026

Learn about ownership, rights, and stock content rules for submitting video templates to Adobe Stock.

Content ownership

You must own all rights to all content in your template, including all necessary licenses and releases. This means:

  • Only self-created content is accepted.
  • Stock content of any kind cannot be used in a template.
  • Creative Commons Zero (CC0) and public domain images are not accepted, even if a stock image has been modified so it's no longer recognizable.
  • Stock or modified stock images cannot be used for 3D textures.

Exception: NASA CC0 images may be used for maps, globes, and textures, provided NASA is included in the template title.

IP ownership

As per your Adobe Stock templates Contributor Agreement, you represent and warrant that you own or have sufficient rights to all IP in the content included within your template file, including all copyright, trademarks, patents, rights of privacy, rights of publicity, and moral rights.

Adobe Stock images and videos in thumbnails and previews

Contributors may use Adobe Stock images and videos in their thumbnail image and preview video to show customers how the template can be used. However, only images and videos for which Contributors have the rights may be included in the template file itself.
