Learn how to create and use a CSV file to efficiently add metadata and manage bulk uploads to Adobe Stock.
A CSV (comma-separated values) file enables adding titles, keywords, and releases to multiple files in a single upload batch. Instead of entering metadata for each piece of content individually, all metadata is organized in a spreadsheet before submission.
Follow these steps to create and format a CSV file for Adobe Stock:
Open the template in your spreadsheet application.
The header row must match this template exactly, so don't rename or translate the column headers.
Name the CSV file clearly without spaces. Use a consistent format, such as Name_Date.csv (e.g., JohnDoe_7_17_17.csv).
Enter the metadata. Use one row for each piece of uploaded content. Refer to the CSV requirements for further information on formatting.
Save content in the correct format:
- Save the file as CSV UTF‑8 when using Excel outside the U.S.
- If unavailable, open the file in Notepad and re-save as CSV UTF‑8
The CSV file is ready to be uploaded through the Contributor Portal.
The file must be 1 MB or smaller and contain no more than 5,000 rows.
